Ninth place for women’s cross country at Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The 23rd-ranked Colby College women’s cross country team finished ninth overall and second among NCAA Division III schools in the Brown Race at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University on Friday.

The Paul Short Run is one of the largest cross country meets in the country. There were three collegiate races, open races, and high school races.
 
The Mules had a score of 338 to finish just behind eighth place Keene State (334), the top placing team in Division III. Saint Joseph’s University won the meet with a 166.
 
Alanna McDonough placed 18th in a field of 387 runners in a time of 22 minutes, 2 seconds over the 6-kilometer course.
 
Taylor Kennedy earned a top-50 finish by placing 48th in 22:26. Krista Brown was 66th with a 22:39 and Caitlin Lawlor finished 73rd in 22:43.
