Men’s cross country 10th at Lehigh event

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The 24th-ranked Colby College men’s cross country team, running without All-American David Chelimo, still finished in the top-10 by placing 10th at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University on Friday.

The Paul Short Run is one of the largest cross country meets in the country. There were three men’s collegiate races, open races, and high school races.
 
The Mules had a score of 338 to finish fifth among NCAA Division III schools. Shippensburg University won the Brown Race with a score of 57.
 
Silas Eastman placed 24th out of 354 finishers in the 8-kilometer run in 25 minutes, 18 seconds. Griffin Gagnon took 51st place in 25:34, Stefan Sandreuter was 69th with a 25:44, and Nathan Madeira placed 81st in 25:47.
 
Chelimo missed the meet due to an injury.
