BOSTON, Mass. -- The University of Maine men's cross country team
placed third out of 38 teams at the New England Championships at
Franklin Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Black Bears finished with a total time of 2:07.14, a score of 199
and had three runners place in the top 30 out of a field of 252
competitors.
Jesse Orach was Maine's top finisher, placing 11th with a final time of 24:57.8 on the 8k course. Levi Frye finished 21st at 25:15.1 while Jacob Johns crossed the line 30th at 25:24.2.
The Black Bears are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 31 when they compete at the America East Championships at Stony Brook.
