Storytelling

Storytelling Debuts at Camden Public Library June 2

Following on the successful format of The Moth and other Story Hours, Chris Michael and Caitlin MacRae invite you to join them at the Camden Public Library for the first in a series of storytelling events on the Midcoast presented by And/Or Stories. “Labor of Love (or Not)” will be an evening of story-sharing and snacks, featuring your stories on the subject of labor: work, struggle, industry, enterprise, effort, and/or birth, on Tuesday evening, June 2, at 7:00 pm.

There are only three restrictions: the stories must be true, they must be told without notes, and they must be told in eight minutes (or less). All are encouraged to bring a story to share, bring a friend, or simply the desire to hear others’ stories. Storyteller slots are limited; sign up in advance by emailing andorstories@gmail.com.

What’s Your Story?

AND/OR STORIES is a monthly gathering that celebrates the stories of our friends, strangers, neighbors, and from-away folk. We all have moments that have shaped us, moved us, startled us, recalibrated our understanding of our world. We want to hear one of yours.  Each month there will be a theme and an open invitation for storytellers to come prepared to share stories based on that theme. Next month (July): Boom & Bust!
