The paving project begins on Route 163 (Mapleton Road) at 0.20 of a mile east of Dudley Road and extend easterly 6.57 miles to 0.94 of a mile east of the Mapleton-Presque Isle town line.
Motorists should expect slight delays traveling through the work zones that will be controlled by flaggers.
The project consists of removing pavement surface, placing new pavement as well as safety and drainage improvements.
It is anticipated all work will be completed mid-July, 2015.
Lane Construction Corp. of Presque Isle will perform this $1.6 million project.
