Henry Beyer speaks about “Deus Vult” at the Friday Local Author Series

Friday, February 6th at noon in Meeting Room #5
Portland, Maine - ‘Deus Vult’ – God’s Will – is an historical novel which takes its readers into a medieval place and time where great kings, dukes and counts clash in horrific battles. Devout Popes, bishops and churchmen wrestle over doctrine. One man – Henry of Dol – grapples within himself as he tries to determine what God really expects of him.

About the author
Henry Beyer graduated from Harvard College with a major in Modern European History. He was a teacher and worked in banking for many years. However, he has always found the time to research and write. He was raised in a home of educators – his father being a math teacher and his mother being an English teacher who wrote four novels.

He spent 20 years meticulously researching and writing ‘Deus Vult’ and bringing life to the characters in a way that protects the historical accuracy of the time period.

He is a proud recipient of the Salvation Army’s William Booth Award and the Independent Publishers Gold Medal Award for excellence. ‘Deus Vult’ is Henry’s second book.
