Johnny Winter Tribute Is Planned For Maine Lobster Festival

Rockland, Maine - The Rock N Blues Fest concert with Johnny Winter at the Maine Lobster Festival is a go as it will now be a tribute to him according to the festival.

Maine Lobster Festival statement reads;

The Maine Lobster Festival is deeply sorry to hear of Johnny Winter’s passing and sends best wishes to his family and bandmates. Johnny Winter was one of the world’s greatest guitarists, and we were looking forward to having him along with the rest of the Rock N’ Blues Fest – The Edgar Winter Band, Vanilla Fudge, Peter Rivera of Rare Earth and Savoy Brown’s Kim Simmonds at our event Saturday night.

The good news is that the Rock N’ Blues Fest tour will go on as a Tribute to Johnny Winter – and it is certain to be an amazing show. Watch for an announcement about a star guitarist possibly being added to the show. We’ll update our web site and social media as soon as we can.

Johnny Winter passed away in his hotel room in Zurich, Switzerland on July 16th.
