A documentary on Andre the Seal and Harry Goodridge is scheduled to be aired on PBS Wednesday, August 6, at 8:00 p.m. Andre was a harbor seal found as a pup by Goodridge in 1961 in the waters off Rockport, Maine, near Robinson's Rock. Goodridge raised the seal who lived for 25 years in both wild and human worlds, gaining attention and love from people around the globe.
The 50-minute film titled The Seal Who Came Home, is the final episode in the four-part series, My Wild Affair, and includes highlights of Andre’s life, the challenges, responsibilities and rewards of raising a wild animal as a pet, and includes actual footage, photographs, and interviews with people who were close to Andre throughout his life.
