Rockland, Maine - The 67th annual Maine Lobster Festival officially opened at noon today with the arrival of 2013 Sea Goddess Melissa Phibrook, King Neptune, Blackbeard and court by Coast Guard boat. Blackbeard raised the lobster festival flag in a small ceremony to officially open this great event.
Tonight is special as we will know the new 2014 Sea Goddess in the annual Sea Goddess Coronation at Fisherman's Memorial Pier. After
a month of practices, judging banquet and visiting Knox Center for Long Term Care. It's hard to believe that tonight, one of fifteen girls will be crowned your new Sea Goddess. Other titles handed out are Miss Congeniality and Crown Princess.
The second day is sure to be filled with a lot to do for all ages. In the evening you can listen to live entertainment by The Veayo Twins (Kristen & Katherine), Amy Allen with her band, Dave Mallett Band and the Mallett Brothers Band on the main stage. Throughout the day there will be music in the North Entertainment Tent.
