A new travelling exhibit created by the ALA and NEH, “Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War,” will be on display at the Camden Public Library through September 4. The exhibit is part of the Library’s “Maine and the Civil War” events in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.

Children’s Fair to Benefit CRMS Grade 7 Exchange Program, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, Camden Amphitheatre (rain date Saturday, August 9). There will be activities appropriate for pre-school and early elementary ages including water balloon toss, face-painting, egg on a spoon races, cake-walk game, craft activities, “fishing” for prizes, beanbag toss, a small pen with ducks, a visiting sheep from Aldermere, washable tattoos, a baking soda and vinegar “volcano,” raffle baskets, and fiddle music. A suggested minimum donation of $10 per family would be deeply appreciated.

Camden artist Linda Norton will celebrate the opening of her new exhibit at the Camden Public Library with a reception in the Picker Room, 2:00 pm, all are welcome. Norton’s fine watercolors portray contemporary nautical and maritime themes and scenes.
