Ukelele Lessons For Kids at the Blue Hill Public Library

Blue Hill, Maine - Blue Hill Public Library and Blue Hill Consolidated School will be offering a series of ukulele workshops taught by local musician and teacher Henry Finch on Tuesdays from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at the Library for 6 weeks starting January 7. The classes will be open to kids ages 10 to 14. Kids will learn to play songs on the ukelele and also learn to write songs.

Henry Finch holds an MFA in Poetry from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. He teaches music and writing throughout Downeast Maine, most recently through the Lake Larsson School of Ukulele in West Brooksville.

No prior musical experience is necessary. Ukuleles will be provided! Participants only need to bring a pencil/pen and a notebook. The classes are free, thanks to the Friends of the Library and the Blue Hill Consolidated School, but registration is required.
