Lewiston, Maine - Sarah W. Holland M.D., a plastic surgeon, has been appointed to the Central Maine Medical Center Medical Staff. She is practicing with Coastal Plastic Surgery in Topsham and Central Maine Plastic Surgery in Lewiston.
Before beginning her work in the greater Topsham area, Holland practiced with York Plastic Surgery of York Hospital in southern Maine. Her practice experience also includes four years in private practice in York. In addition, she served for two years as an assistant professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City.
A graduate of Colby College in Waterville, she earned her medical degree at Cornell University Medical College in New York City.
She served a residency in surgery at University Health Center of Pittsburgh and then a fellowship in pediatric and craniofacial surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She also completed a residency in plastic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Holland is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
She is a member of the American Medical Association, Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, Maine Medical Association, and American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Through her affiliation with Children of the Americas, Holland has journeyed three times to Guatemala to provide surgical services to indigent children.
