The exhibit, assembled by Assistant Director Karen Wyatt, and volunteers Nikki Lawton and Val Libby, will include 3 pewter balusters believed to be the official measures of the town of Blue Hill dating from before 1830; a meteorite obtained from a local Indian; old receipts from various Blue Hill businesses through the years; items relating to anti-slavery and women’s temperance movements; household china and other wares from Blue Hill households, including a Wedgewood tea set; items from the collections of Library benefactors Adelaide Pearson and Roland Howard; and much more.
The exhibit will be in the Howard Room cases, available for viewing during Library hours subject to the meeting room schedule. For more information call the Library at 374-5515.
