Rockland, Maine - Anyone interested in learning more about health care programs offered locally by the University of Maine at Fort Kent (UMFK) is invited to attend a special information session at University College at Rockland. The videoconference session will take place on Thursday, December 12, from 4:00 to 5:00PM.
Part of the University of Maine System, UMFK is a small campus at the top of Maine on the Canadian border whose goal is to focus on the needs of rural communities in Maine and nationwide. The campus seeks to be Maine's premier rural public university, educating students to become responsible citizens committed to environmental stewardship through experiential learning. The Princeton Review selected UMFK as a "Best Northeast College" for the sixth year in a row in 2011.
UMFK offers a variety of programs online. University College at Rockland provides students personalized support and a range of resources to help them succeed in their studies. UMFK degree and certificate programs in health care include Health Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management, and Nursing.
