8:40AM Storm Update: Power crews from around the state of Maine have been working throughout the night to restore power to those who lost it due to icing.
At 8:40am Bangor Hydro whose crews have been working super hard is reporting 13,542 customers without power with the hardest hit counties being Hancock and Washington,
Central Maine Power has been spared with only 4,894 customers without power, hardest hit counties being Waldo with 3,540.
These power crews have been working super hard to restore power in very icy condition. Please be careful if out and about today as things are super icy. Stay safe.
In other news, Dunkin Donuts in Rockland and the one by Pen Bay Medical Center are closed with the Thomaston store being open. University College of Rockland is closed due to the ice storm.
