Tracking Workshop to be held at Head Of Tide Preserve

Belfast, Maine - Ron Joseph, retired wildlife biologist and native of Maine, will lead a walk to search for tracks and signs left by animals in winter. With 40 years of experience studying Maine’s wildlife, Ron’s entertaining approach to sharing nature makes outings fun and incredibly informative.

The workshop takes place Thursday, January 9 from 1 – 3pm at Coastal Mountains Land Trust’s Head of Tide Preserve. With nearly 100 acres of different habitats for different species it is a perfect place to find interesting evidence of winter wildlife. Participants should meet at the parking lot on Doak Road in Belfast and be prepared for cold weather and walking in the snow – snow shoes are recommended.

Coastal Mountains Land Trust has been working since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of western Penobscot Bay. The Head of Tide Preserve is part of the Land Trust’s Passagassawakeag Greenway, created to increase opportunities for hiking and nature exploration in Belfast.
