Augusta, Maine - The University of Maine at Augusta’s Jazz on Tour will wind up Lithgow Public Library’s annual Holiday Concert Series on a festive note with a concert on Thursday, December 12 at 6:30 p.m. to kick off the library’s annual Holiday Concert Series. The free concerts are open to the public and take place in the Reading Room.
UMA Jazz on Tour is a performing and touring ensemble representing the jazz and contemporary music program at the University of Maine at Augusta. It performs in schools and communities around the state, giving clinics and concerts. The 2013 edition of UMA Jazz on tour features Christine McCormick, voice; Bryant Sirois and Rurik Brackett, guitars; Drew Piteroff, bass; Cam Lopez, drums; and Steve Grover, piano/director.
The repertoire includes a mix of jazz standards, arrangements of pop and rock songs and recent jazz originals.
