Raffle winner Alan Smith presents a check for $1,000 to Kim Sanborn, of the Kittery Historical & Naval Museum |
The Greater York Region Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that the Save The Fresnel Lens Raffle concluded on October 13, 2013. On that date, the Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Holly Roberts, presented the Kittery Historical & Naval Museum with a check for $2,000 to pay for the Insurance premium for two years to keep the Fresnel lens at the museum.
The drawing was also conducted for the $1,000 prize; congratulations to Kittery resident, Alan Smith, who was the winner! Smith served for thirty one years in the Coast Guard and one of his responsibilities included watching over Boon Island Light. After winning his prize, Smith generously donated all of his winnings to the Kittery Historical & Naval Museum!
The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Sunrise Grill and everyone who participated in the raffle and supported the museum.
