Warner, NH––October 4, 2013––With over 25,000 people expected to attend the Warner Fall Foliage Festival this week, and three exits off I-89 into Warner, it will be easy to get caught up in traffic and stuck in a jam. Here’s the best way festival goers can avoid traffic tie-ups: Get off I-89 at exit 9 and follow Rte. 103 East into Warner about ¾ mile. Parking areas will be well marked along Rte. 103. A free bus shuttle will pick up passengers at these parking areas and bring them to and from the festival.
Parking for the handicapped will be at the public parking locations, Kearsarge St. Ext. parking lot, and after Saturday noon at the bank and the post office. No parking will be allowed along Main Street or in the cemetery. From 12:30-2:30 on Sunday, shuttle bus service and traffic will be delayed due to the Grand Parade.

“The festival is great fun and affordable for everyone,” said Sean Bohman, Festival president. “With $5 for parking, no admittance fee, and maybe the cost of an ice cream cone or snacks, a family can enjoy the festival quite frugally.”
New this year is the Farm & Field Expo where folks can test their skills on the climbing wall, see the latest in canoes and kayaks, visit the farm store booths and watch the annual oxen pull and woodsmen competitions.
Cooks may enter the apple pie baking contest, and those who enjoy running can enter the 5-mile road race. Again this year are the ever popular lobster & chicken barbecues and the Eat Local food tent, among other food vendors.
For children, the festival will offer rides, spooky ghost stories, 1-mile fun run, a magic show, parades, crafts, bubble party and an ice cream eating contest.
Music lovers are invited to hear the many bands that will perform on the new amphitheater stage. Festival goers may visit the town’s three museums, check out the library’s book & bake sale and find bargains galore at the historical society’s barn sale. Scores of crafters will offer their finest creations, and the farmers’ market will be stocked with fresh, locally-grown produce.
“We thank HR Clough and Warner Power for accommodating us and offering the use of their space,” Bohman said. “We’re hoping for some great weather, and we hope people will come on down and support the festival. It’s for a great cause.”
