Blue Hill, Maine - Let’s get outside to collect some beautiful autumn leaves! Blue Hill Heritage Trust is offering a free activity for children, “Fun with Autumn Leaves,” on Saturday, Oct 19 from 10:00 am till noon at the BHHT barn, 258 Mountain Road, Blue Hill.Children can also bring in several special colorful leaves that they have collected at home. Participants will all try to identify the names of everyone’s leaves before creating collages to bring home using wax paper and crayon shavings.
This event is led by Laurie White, who is a former elementary school teacher. She is a BHHT volunteer and a frequent hiker on the area’s woods trails. This program is appropriate for kindergarten through elementary aged children, accompanied by an adult please.
