The President's Schedule Today

At 8:00 AM, the Vice President will host a breakfast meeting with Senator Patty Murray at the Naval Observatory. This meeting is closed press.

Later, the Vice President will meet with senior advisors.

In the morning, the President will travel to Austin, Texas. The departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport will be open press.

While in Texas, as part of his “Middle Class Jobs & Opportunity Tours”, the President will travel to Manor New Tech High School near Austin, Texas where students are learning the real-world skills they need to fill the jobs that are available right now. While at Manor New Technology High School, the President will tour classrooms and then deliver remarks. There will be travel pool coverage of the President’s tour of classrooms and his remarks are open to pre-credentialed media.

In the afternoon, the President will tour Applied Materials Inc., one of the high-tech companies that has made Austin a hub for innovation and job creation.  While at Applied Materials Inc., the President will also deliver remarks. There will be travel pool coverage of the President’s tour of Applied Materials Inc. and his remarks are open to pre-credentialed media.

In the evening, the President will depart Austin, Texas en route Washington, DC. The departure from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and the arrival on the South Lawn will be open press.

At 6:45 PM, the Vice President will deliver keynote remarks at the 25th Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Dinner of the Congressional Fire Services Institute. This event at the Washington Hilton is open press.
