May 10, 2103--Bay Chamber Music School invites the public to its popular Odeon Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 21st at 7:00pm at the Rockport Opera House, with featured guest violinist, Dean Stein. Stein, well known throughout the state as a member of the revered Portland String Quartet, will perform JS Bach’s iconic Brandenburg Concerto #4 with the Odeon Adult Orchestra. Also on the program are Odeon Allegro and Symphony Orchestras. The evening also features an original work by Oceanside High School’s graduating Senior and Odeon cellist, Cole Barbour. The ensembles are lead by conductor Deirdre McClure, with coaching by Gilda Joffe. The concert is sponsored by Camden National Bank and is free to all.
The Odeon Ensembles Program is open to all instruments: strings, winds, brass and percussion. Bay Chamber Music School invites local musicians of all ages and abilities to audition for the fall term of the Odeon Orchestra program later this summer.
