WHITINGHAM, Vt. - For the second time in three weeks, Husson senior Greg Martin and freshman Daulton Wickenden have been named the North Atlantic ConferenceMen's Golfer and Rookie of the Week, respectively, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Martin took medalist honors for the second-consecutive season at the NAC Men's Golf Championship this past weekend. The Ellsworth, Maine, native shot an impressive one-over par, 71, on Day 2, which added to his 73 on Day 1 for a two-day total of 144. The Eagles claimed their 10th conference Championship title in 12 years with a two-day total of 632 (312-320).
Wickenden earned a second-place finish at the 2015 NAC Men's Golf Championship this past weekend. The Rockport, Maine, product shot a two-day total of 149 (73-76), which placed him just five strokes behind Martins.
Husson claimed the 2015 title and berth into the 2016 NCAA Division III National Championship.
