Oceanside JV & Varsity Boys Defeats Morse

Rockland, Maine - The Oceanside jv and varsity boys hosted Morse High School for two matches on Friday, February 6th, 2015 in Rockland, Maine. Oceanside were able to win both matches. It was also senior recognition for Eli Thorbjornson, Jimmy Strong, Zeke Hamlin, Zach Peaco, Walker Ranney, Jimmy Matero and Jarrod Leonardi along with those on the indoor track team and prep-band.

In the junior varsity game Oceanside were able to win against Morse by a score of 60-34. Scorers for Oceanside were Andrew King 2 points, Nick Tinker 4 points, Josef Berger 6 points, Michael Norton 4 points, 2 free throws, Zach Davis 1 free throw, Anthony Marsh 8 points, Josh Luttrell 12 points, 2 free throws, Sam Atwood 11 points, 1 3 pointer and 2 free throws and Coby Dorr 10 points.

Morse scorers were Tait Nygaard 6 points, 2 free throws, Parker O. 6 points, two three pointers, Jeff Leighton 3 points, 1 free throw, Tyreik Foster 7 points, 1 three pointer and 2 free throws, Alex Fernald 4 points, Connor Upham 2 points and Damon Osgood 6 points.

Oceanside had a tougher time in this game as it was a tie before they were able to pull a way. They
were able to win by a score of  52-45. Scorers for Oceanside were Eli Thorbjornson 2 points, Keenan Hendricks 19 points, two 3 pointer and 9 free throws, Nate Raye 4 points, 1 free throw and one three pointer, Walker Ranney 5 points, one 3 pointer and two free throws, Riley Sprague 5 points, one 3 pointer and two free throws, Nicholas Mazurek 17 points, four 3 pointers and three free throws.

Scorers for Morse were Emil Stokholm 3 point from a three pointer, Aiden Brillard 2 points, Keegan McDonnough 11 points, three free throws, Casey Watson 3 points from a three pointer, Juwan Moore 4 points, two free throws and Ethan Winglass 20 points with six free throws.
