Kittery, Maine - On Friday, July 18, 2014 at 8pm, hit the dance floor with Chris Klaxton's 18 piece band, The State Line Big Band featuring vocalist Taylor O'Donnell. The popular band returns to The Dance Hall for an exquisite evening of classic swing, be-bop and jazz.
Comprised of the Seacoast area's finest instrumentalists, the State Line Big Band delivers the classic swing/dance band arrangements that we've all come to love, the best of the Great American Songbook, the works of George Gershwin, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Charles Mingus, as well as original material written by the Seacoast's own. An ensemble teeming with creative improvisers, the State-Line Big Band is not only for those looking for a sentimental evening of classic dance music, but for die-hard jazz lovers and fans of bebop and beyond.
