The First Annual Holiday Guitar Night at Lincoln Theater

Damariscotta, Maine - Lincoln Theater is pleased to present its First Annual Holiday Guitar Night, live on stage and featuring two extraordinary musicians, Eric Lugosch and Stephen Bennett in a concert for the season, Saturday, December 28, 7 PM at Damariscotta’s Lincoln Theater. National Fingerpicking Champion Eric Lugosch presents a truly original and inspirational show. There are no gimmicks or gadgets --just a genuinely gifted imagination and a fluency that comes from years of working on his craft. Eric’s arrangements of traditional songs and jazz standards are now considered classics in picking circles, where he is also regarded as one of America’s best original fingerstyle composers, as well as a talented songwriter.

Stephen Bennett is an extraordinary musician, an acknowledged master of the harp guitar, a challenging teacher, a gifted composer, and a performer of great sensitivity. A National Flat and Fingerpicking champion, he  has regularly performed around the US and abroad, shared the stage with some of the finest guitarists in the world, and created a body of work that is respected (and loved) in many places.  His 26th recording is due out this year – Tchaikovsky’s entire Nutcracker Ballet score arranged for guitar orchestra. Stephen’s work is the product of both mind and heart, intellectually challenging and emotionally satisfying - - and it is deeply personal, even as it is universal.

In a concert suitable for the entire family, free admission is offered to youth age 18 and under, while adult tickets are $22 ($20 for Lincoln Theater members)  and can be reserved through the theater office at 563 3424, by email at info@lcct.org, or in person.  Additional information, including clips, can be found by visiting the theater’s website at www.atthelincoln.org or by calling 563-3424.  Come enjoy the magic of the season with these to astonishing musicians.
