Ellsworth, Maine - For the 2nd year in a row, The Grand in downtown Ellsworth is helping the Knights of Columbus warm up winter for those in need on Saturday, February 16th at 7:30 pm. “To Warm A Winter’s Night II” will feature great music by our local talented musicians, and be a fundraiser for the Washington/Hancock Community Agency (WHCA) heating assistance fund.
Support for the event is community wide, with businesses helping with advertising and musicians donating their talents. Local performers include MacLir Ceilidh Band (Celtic), Bobbi Lane (Blues), The Crown Vics (Rockabilly), Trish Mason Band (Folk-Rock) with special guest Evensong.
“We really wanted to be able to support families who need help with heating this winter,” said Chris Whalley, event organizer for the Knights of Columbus, “and we wanted to bring the community together to share in that. The Grand loved the idea of helping us put on a show … so everybody gets to have fun.”
Businesses or individuals who would like to help sponsor this event by advertising in the program or making a donation can contact Chris Whalley at chris@whalleylaw.com or 667-8288.
Tickets for the event are $15.00 and can be purchased at The Grand, by phone (667-9500) or online (www.grandonline.org). “To Warm a Winter’s Night II” at The Grand, Saturday, February 16th at 7:30 pm.
