Kittery, Maine - The Sarah Mildred Long Bridge in Kittery is undergoing repairs necessitating its closure on Thursday, January 24th and possibly Friday, January 25th.

After bridge controllers attempted to raise the lift span on Wednesday afternoon, a section did not align properly and therefore would not fully close.

Crews will be on the bridge through the day today with the possible repairs continuing into tomorrow.

With the Memorial Bridge in the midst of being replaced and the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge undergoing repairs, commuters will need to utilize the I-95 High-Level Bridge. Please allow extra time if traveling in the area.
