Songwriters Sessions Kick Off December 27

Library Songwriters Kick Off December 27

The Camden Library Songwriters Sessions will kick off December 27 with an open song circle of songwriters at 6:30 pm. David Dodson will be the session leader that evening, there is no admission charge and an audience is welcome as well as songwriters.

The Songwriters Sessions will continue monthly through the winter. “Bring your latest song and try it out for an appreciative audience,” said Ken Gross, program director at the library. “Get some positive feedback and perhaps even some harmony or instrumental backup to help you out!” The group will meet once a month through the winter, and perform at the June Songwriters’ Coffeehouse. The sessions will be led by veteran songwriters David Dodson and Jim James. The schedule for the songwriters session is the fourth Tuesday of each month, meeting in the second floor History Center from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The dates are January 22, February 26, March 26, April 23, and May 28. The final meeting will be a performance at the Songwriters’ Coffeehouse on Thursday, June 6, at 7:00 pm. Call Ken Gross at the library at 236-3440 for more information and to register. Registration is recommended although drop-ins are welcome.
