...A WINTER STORM WILL BRING HEAVY SNOW TO THE REGION LATE TONIGHT
THROUGH TOMORROW NIGHT...
.LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE THROUGH THE MID-ATLANTIC REGION TONIGHT
AND THEN MOVE THROUGH THE GULF OF MAINE DURING THE DAY TOMORROW.
SNOW WILL BEGIN TO FALL AHEAD OF THE SYSTEM TONIGHT...BEGINNING
OVER SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE AND WILL THEN SPREAD NORTHWARD
THROUGHOUT THE DAY TOMORROW. NEAR THE COAST...SNOW AMOUNTS WILL BE
HELD DOWN AS IT MIXES WITH RAIN. FURTHER INLAND WHERE THE
PRECIPITATION WILL REMAIN ALL SNOW...AMOUNTS WILL BE GREATER. THE
CONNECTICUT RIVER VALLEY WILL ALSO SEE SOME REDUCED AMOUNTS AS
THEY GET SHADOWED BY THE MOUNTAINS.
STORM TIDES WILL RUN BETWEEN 11.5 AND 12.0 FEET IN PORTLAND
HARBOR. LARGE...BUILDING WAVES WILL CAUSE SPLASH-OVER AND BEACH
EROSION NEAR THE TIME OF THE MID MORNING HIGH TIDE TOMORROW ALONG
THE SOUTHERN COAST OF MAINE AND THE COAST OF NEW HAMPSHIRE.

WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS
EVENING TO 4 AM EST FRIDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN
EFFECT.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW.
* ACCUMULATIONS...6 TO 10 INCHES OF SNOW.
* TIMING...LATE TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING.
* IMPACTS...HEAVY SNOW WITH LOW VISIBILITIES...POOR DRIVING
CONDITIONS AND POWER OUTAGES ARE LIKELY.
* WINDS...NORTHEAST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH.
* TEMPERATURES...AROUND 30.
* VISIBILITIES...A HALF MILE OR LESS IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.
