STORM WARNING: National Weather Service Ups Snowfall Totals

The National weather Service in Gray Maine is now calling for 10 to 14 inches of new snow for the Mid- Coast of Maine.

...ANOTHER SNOW EVENT ON TAP FOR THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT...

.LOW PRESSURE OFF THE MID ATLANTIC COAST WILL INTENSIFY RAPIDLY
AS IT MOVES TO THE NORTHEAST TONIGHT...STAYING JUST OUT TO SEA.
HOWEVER...THE EXPECTED TRACK OF THIS LOW HAS MOVED A BIT WESTWARD
THIS MORNING. THIS WESTWARD BUMP SHOULD ALLOW FOR WINTER STORM
CONDITIONS ALONG THE COAST TONIGHT...AND AN INCREASE IN SNOWFALL
ACROSS THE INTERIOR AS WELL. THEREFORE...A WINTER STORM WARNING IS
NOW IN EFFECT FOR THE COASTAL PLAIN...WITH THE MOST SNOW EXPECTED
ALONG THE MID COAST OF MAINE. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES HAVE
BEEN EXPANDED WESTWARD AND NORTHWARD AS WELL.

* ACCUMULATIONS...6 TO 12 INCHES OF SNOW.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO OVERSPREAD THE REGION EARLY THIS
  EVENING AND BE HEAVY AT TIMES OVERNIGHT.

* IMPACTS...SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS...ALONG WITH VISIBILITY
  RESTRICTIONS IN BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

* WINDS...NORTH 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 20S.
