 Midcoast Stroke Support Group meets at 10:00 am on the second floor of the Camden Public Library, accessible by elevator. All are welcome.


Thursday, January 3
 Songwriters Circle at the Camden Public Library led by David Dodson, 6:30 pm. Open to all. Bring a song
to share! Audience welcome, too.


Saturday, January 5
 Film, Eckhart Tolle’s “Stillness Amidst the World: Talks at the Findhorn Community in Scotland,” Part 2 (120 min), 1:30 pm at the Camden Public Library. Co-Sponsored by Resonance Arts.

 “Simply Books!” is the Camden Public Library’s book group for adults. Simply bring along whatever book you’re currently reading and share it with the group, 2:00 pm.

 Reading Group of the Camden Philosophical Society, 4:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. “This meeting will be our first encounter with Ludwig Wittgenstein,” says Greg Chilenski. All are welcome.

 “Budgeting: Improving Your Relationship with Money,” led by Linda Buckmaster, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Part of the Financial Literacy Series of the library and Camden National Bank. “Money Habitudes” will help you learn about your money habits and attitudes; how they affect your money choices; and how you can change old practices.

 Food historian Nancy Harmon Jenkins on “What’s Cooking in That Pot?” 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Food history from a more general perspective, why it’s really a universal approach to human history. Part of “Food History” Month at the library.


Sunday, January 13
 First movie in the “America’s Music” series, 3:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, “The Blues and Gospel Music” with intro and discussion led by Glenn Jenks. Free series.


Monday, January 14
 “Wellness-by-Design: Architecture as a health resource” by architect Terry Cline, noontime program at the Camden Public Library. How your personal environments have a profound impact upon your behavior, relationships, and performance. The “Wellness” Brown Bag Lunch series is co-sponsored by the library and the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce.


Tuesday, January 15
 Andrew Stancioff presents “Food and Water in the Middle East: Snapshots and Political Perspectives,” 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Part of the Community Events Series of the Camden Conference. Stancioff is a geologist, natural resource planner, analyst, and manager with 45 years of experience in geology, hydrology, agriculture, fisheries, forestry, climatology, and oceanography.


Thursday, January 17
 First of six classes of a Coastal Senior College Class on “Bach and the Best of the Rest of the Baroque,” 1:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Instructor: Marge Roberts. Call the Senior College at 800-286-1594 to enroll.


Thursday, January 17
 Midcoast Audubon Society hosts “Tracking Sea Birds” with Brian Benedict from Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library.
