Sea Dogs hold on for a 5-3 win over the Fisher Cats

Portland snaps a 10-game-road losing streak
Manchester, NH - Jordan Weems fanned Bo Bichette with the bases loaded to end the night and give the Portland Sea Dogs (8-19) a 5-3 win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (18-10) on Tuesday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

Portland snaps a 10-game losing streak on the road and evens the series at one game apiece.

Teddy Stankiewicz (2-4) worked 5.2 innings of relief, yielding three runs (one earned) to earn the win. Travis Lakins (ND) made his third start of the season, fanning five batters on just one hit over three innings pitched.

The Sea Dogs scored all five runs in the fourth inning off losing pitcher T.J. Zeuch (0-1). Portland sent ten men to the plate, picking up six hits but four were infield-singles.

Danny Mars knocked in the first run with an infield single to third base. Jeremy Rivera lined an RBI single, Tony Renda picked up a run-scoring infield-single, Cole Sturgeon reached on an error by the pitcher, and Josh Ockimey knocked in the last run with an infield hit.

Zeuch, who was making his Double-A debut, allowing nine hits and five runs (four earned) over four innings.

Weems earned his first Double-A save in just his second appearance with Portland.
