Thomas finished 8-9 overall last season and went 4-1 in North Atlantic Conference play before falling to UMaine-Farmington, 2-1, in the NAC Tournament semifinals.
The Terriers open with five consecutive road contests - beginning the season at Southern Maine on Sept. 1 before weekend games at Nichols (Sept. 3) and Bridgewater State (Sept. 4) and trips to crosstown rival Colby on Sept. 7 and defending Great Northeast Athletic Conference champion Simmons on Sept. 10.
Thomas is then idle for a week before opening up the home slate by hosting 2015 NEWMAC tournament champion Mount Holyoke on Saturday, Sept. 17. Mount Holyoke finished last season receiving votes in the NFHCA national poll. Bates makes the trek up I-95 for a midweek game on Wednesday, Sept. 21, before the Terriers open NAC play at defending league champion Husson on Saturday, Sept. 25.
A trio of nonconference home contests are woven into the league slate, starting with a visit by Kean University on Sept. 25. It will be the first meeting between the Terriers and the Cougars out of Union, N.J., and the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Road league dates at New England College (Oct. 1) and Colby-Sawyer (Oct. 8) sandwich a home date with GNAC stalwart Saint Joseph's (Maine) on Oct. 4.
The schedule closes with three straight home games as UMaine-Farmington (Oct. 15) and Castleton (Oct. 22) visit Bernatchez Field for NAC contests, Plymouth State steps out of Little East Conference play to make a midweek trip on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
The UMaine-Farmington contest kicks off a Homecoming/Family Weekend tripleheader, while the Castleton game kicks off another field hockey/soccer tripleheader and will be preceded by the program's annual Senior Day festivities.
The NAC Semifinals take place on Oct. 26, with the NAC Championship three days later at the highest remaining seed.
