Peaks Island Library hosts The Zany, Magestic Bard

Portland, Maine - On Thursday, July 28th the Peaks Island Library will host “The Zany, Majestic Bard” a program created through a partnership between the Maine State Library and the Maine Humanities Council. The performance, led by theater artist David Greenham, celebrates William Shakespeare’s inventive language on the 400th anniversary of his death and includes singing, acting and learning activities aimed at making the works of Shakespeare more accessible and inspirational to all audiences.  There will also be some cameo appearances by Peaks Island residents.

This program will be held in the Community Room at the Peaks Island Library and is free and open to the public.
