STANDISH, ME – The Thomas College field hockey team was shutout by
Saint Joseph's College 1-0 on Tuesday night in a non-conference game.
Thomas goalkeeper Abbie Charrier had 15 saves in the loss.
The Monks scored their lone goal four minutes into the second half.
Bailey Cutler scored off a penalty corner insert by Amanda Celata for
the game winning goal.
Thomas recorded two shots on goal while St. Joe's registered 16. The Monks also held a 14-3 advantage in penalty corners.
Monk's goalie Megan Baker made one save, with defender Meghan
Williams recording a defensive save, and earned the win while Charrier
was tagged with the loss in her 15 save performance.
The Terriers will return to action on Saturday, October 10 in a North
Atlantic Conference game at the University of Maine Farmington at 10:30
am.
