Transformer Explosion/Problem Left 1,487 CMP Customers Without Power In Rockland Area Temporary

UPDATE 2: NHS Ceremony will be rescheduled for Thursday 12/04 due to a power outage at the high school. Please join us for this special celebration on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.according to Oceanside High School facebook page.
UPDATE: Most places has had their power restored.
Rockland, Maine - A transformer explosion/problem at Cedar/Old County Rd. in Rockland left 1,487 CMP customers without power temporary Wednesday evening, December 3rd.

Rockland police and CMP are on scene of the possible transformer explosion. The power was out for 45 to 50 minutes.

The hardest hit area is Rockland, 1,186, Rockport, 203 and Thomaston with 97 customers without power.

National Honor Society induction has been postponed at Oceanside High School due to no power.
