Singers! Musicians! Dancers! Comedians! People of talent! Come to The Grand and become a contestant on “Ellsworth’s Got Talent”! The contest is open to any type of act: vocal, comedy (non-vulgar), dance, reading, instrumental (limited to 4-person combo) etc. It is meant to be in the spirit of fun and entertainment and to be a showcase for local entertainment enthusiasts.
Some things to be aware of: the contest is open to all amateur entertainers and there are no age restrictions or requirement except that anyone under the age of 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign their entry form. Professional (contracted musicians or those whose talent is a principle source of income) are not permitted to enter.
The Grand will provide a stage, sound system, microphone, stage lighting, dressing room, and a piano. All contestants are responsible for providing their own props, instruments, costumes, cds, etc. Contestants are expected to arrive at The Grand on Saturday, February 22nd at 12:00 pm for a Tech./Dress rehearsal. This time will be used to set light for each act as well as sound checks. Once the Tech./Dress rehearsal is done, contestants are welcome to leave and return to The Grand no later than 5:45pm.
