Vose Public Library Upcoming Events

Union, Maine - The Vose Library in Union will be holding these following events.

Event: Dr. Seuss's Birthday
Location: Vose Library, 392 Common Road, Union, ME
Date: Saturday, March 1
Time: 10am
Description:
Celebrate the life and imagination of beloved author Dr. Seuss. Listen to a Seuss story and enjoy cake, punch, coloring sheets, and activities. Wear your striped hat! Fun for kids of all ages!

Event: St. Patrick's Day Dinner
Location: Union Masonic Lodge, 149 Sennebec Road, Union, ME
Date: Sunday, March 16
Time: 1-4pm
Description:
Union’s Vose Library offers a traditional “Be In The Green” St. Patrick ’s Day dinner on Sunday March 16 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, with tickets priced at $10.00 each.  The event will be held at the Union Masonic Lodge, 149 Sennebec Road, and proceeds will benefit Vose Library.  The menu will feature a traditional St. Patrick’s Day dinner with corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, soda bread, and home-made desserts. There will be live music with an Irish theme.  Tickets can be purchased in advance at Vose Library, or at the Masonic Lodge door on March 16.
Library patrons and supporters are invited to help Union’s community library to “Be In The Green” by attending the St. Patrick’s Day dinner.

Event: Open Mic Night
Location: Vose Library, 392 Common Road, Union, ME
Date: Friday, March 21
Time: 7pm
Description:
Join us at Vose Library’s new Open Mic Night series. This time we will be focusing on the spoken word in all its variety. Each person will have up to 7 minutes to speak. Come share stories, excerpts, speeches, poems, essays, and more. How about reading a dialogue with a friend? Bring your own work or introduce others to your favorite author. Do you love having an open mic night in Union? Come on out and bring your friends!
