Trail opening in Brooklin‏: Hundred Acre Wood Open to Public

Join Blue Hill Heritage Trust on Saturday, September 14 at 10 am for the opening of the new Hundred Acre Wood trail in Brooklin.

This is the first hiking trail the Trust has designed and constructed in the town of Brooklin.  A 1.7 mile walk through diverse forested landscape, the trail is available to the public because of a generous gift of land by Stephen Winthrop and M. Jane Williamson.  The trail was constructed this summer with the help of trail manager Ken Burgess, the Brooklin Youth Core, and the Trust’s volunteer crew.

The Hundred Acre Wood trailhead is located on High Street, 1/10 mile from the "four corners" intersection with Hales Wood Road.

This event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public.  For more info, contact Eileen at 374-5118 or eileen@bluehillheritagetrust.org.  More programs are listed on the BHHT website: bluehillheritagetrust.org.

The Trust currently owns or holds conservation easements on 6,293 acres of land throughout the Blue Hill Peninsula, including 18 miles of hiking trails.
