While developing this project, we have taken great strides to reduce any delays to motorists, however, please understand this will be a construction zone and there will be times that work will have some impacts on traffic. In an effort to reduce delays, the Contractor has restrictions outlined in the contract to minimize disruptions which include: - 6:30 am to 8:30 am- two way traffic including all EASTBOUND lanes (traffic heading toward Augusta from Winthrop / Manchester) - 8:30 am to 3:30- pm two way traffic - 3:30 pm to 6:00 PM- two way traffic including all WESTBOUND lanes (traffic heading toward Winthrop / Manchester)
- 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm- two way traffic
- 7:00 pm to 6:00 am- alternating one-way traffic
- NO Saturday work
During construction we would like to emphasize that the businesses are open and will have access during construction. When entering or exiting a business, side road, or driveway please be attentive as there will be much activity. Please take that extra moment to look twice and proceed with caution.
Once completed, this section of Outer Western Ave will have upgraded utilities, additional lanes for turning and through traffic, and a new traffic signal system which will make traveling this segment much more efficient for everyone.
