This years homecoming may prove to be the biggest and best homecoming in the schools history.
This year's homecoming will encompass three days with the pep rally on Thursday, October 10 in the schools gym. On Friday, October 11, the schools cross country team will host its one and only invitational meet with many teams attending. At 7 p.m. the schools football team will host Nokomis High School in a rare "Under the lights contest on the Don Palmer Field". Immediately following the football game there will be a fireworks show for all to enjoy!
Friday night is also senior recognition day for our cross country runners and senior class football teams members.
On Saturday, October 12, the school will host six soccer match ups against Oceanside High School and two field hockey games against Gardner.
This years very special guest are Mr Gary Spinney (Honorary Athletic Director / Coach of the Day). Spinney is a long time local teacher and coach here in the community.
The honorary fan of the day is Jan Graffam. Ms. Graffam is a life long resident of our community and has been a very loyal fan to C-R and CHRHS athletics for many years!
The school will also recognize the players and coaches of the Rockport High School 1960-1961 Boys Basketball Team who where the state runner ups. The team unfortunately lost in the State Championship game that year by two points. Coach Vernon Hunter and many of his players from this great team will be present for our homecoming ceremony.
This years homecoming will also be the official Camden Hills Community Bleacher Project Kick off! The students, coaches, faculty and community members are all working very hard to raise $175,000 for the funding of new bleachers and a press box at the school.
Patrons of Homecoming will have ample opportunity to learn more about the bleacher campaign and the opportunity to donate or purchase a brick for "Victory Lane".
