Lewiston, Maine - The City of Lewiston wishes to inform residents that Pine Street, from Lisbon Street to Park Street, will be closed September 5th & 6th due to the installation of lighting on the City Hall dome at 27 Pine Street. In addition, Pine Street will remain closed during the evening of the 5th, as a crane will be on site. This will include closing the sidewalk on the south side of Pine and the Pine Street entrance to Lewiston City Hall. However, the City will accommodate anyone needing to use the handicapped ramp on Pine Street for building access. A similar closure will occur on Park Street on September 19th & 20th; however, it is anticipated that there will be enough room for one lane of traffic due to expected short-term elimination of 10 parking spaces along Kennedy Park.
