Cross Insurance Center Ribbon Cutting, Open House Scheduled

The Cross Insurance Center sign adorns the wall next to the Clock Tower of the new $65 million entertainment complex. A ribbon cutting will kick off events for the grand opening Sept. 10 with a community open house on Sept. 14.

Bangor, Maine - There will be a series of events celebrating the grand opening of the Cross Insurance Center scheduled for next week.

Events kick off September 10th with a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m., in which city officials will cut a ribbon at the southeast entrance to the arena. No tours will be offered on this date.

On Sept. 14, a community open house will be held from 3-8 p.m., commencing with a fireworks display. Tours of the arena will also be offered, along with refreshments.

The Harlem Globetrotters will officially open the arena with games on Sept. 20 and 21.
