KEITH COUCH PROMOTED TO TRIPLE-A PAWTUCKET

Portland, Maine - Portland Sea Dogs' right-handed pitcher Keith Couch has been promoted to Triple-A Pawtucket.  Couch is slated to make his Triple-A debut tonight as he gets the start for the PawSox against the Buffalo Bisons in Buffalo at 7:00 PM.

In 25 games (11 starts) this season with the Sea Dogs, Couch has notched an 8-3 record with a 3.93 ERA. As a starter this season, Couch is 5-1 with a 3.41 ERA.  His eight wins were tied with Ranaudo for the team lead.  In 2012 with Single-A Salem he ranked fifth in the Carolina League and 3rd in the Red Sox organization with a 3.46 ERA and finished third in both the league and the Sox system with 11 wins.  The 23 year-old was selected by the Red Sox in the 13th round of June 2010 draft.

Couch is the latest Sea Dogs' pitcher to be promoted this year joining Drake Britton, Charlie Haeger, Brock Huntzinger, Will Latimer, Chris Martin, Anthony Ranaudo, and Brandon Workman.  Britton and Workman are currently in the Majors with the Red Sox.

The Sea Dogs begin a six game homestand Tuesday night with a 7:00 PM game against the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
