Mosca Named LEC Rookie Runner of the Week for the Second Time

 

PAWTUCKET, RI – University of Southern Maine women’s cross country freshman Olivia Mosca (Brewer. ME) has been selected as the Little East Conference Rookie of the Week the league offices announced Monday afternoon. It’s the second weekly honor for Mosca this season.

Mosca crossed the finish line in an even 21 minutes with a 6:46 mile pace for a second place finish. The All-LEC First Team selection was only 15 seconds behind first-place runner Kim Bowles of Plymouth State University and three seconds ahead of fellow freshman Sarah Ames of Keene State College. The Huskies tied for fifth at the LEC Championship.

 

USM will be back on the course at the NCAA Regional Championship on Saturday, November 13th.
