Eagles lose 4-0 to #1 Polar Bears

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Husson University fell to the number one team in the nation Bowdoin College Wednesday night, 4-0, in the Eagles' second contest against a nationally ranked opponent in the last three days. Husson was anchored by goalkeeper Anne Marie Provencal who recorded 12 saves on the game in the loss.

The Polar Bear attack was powered by Rachel Kennedy who had two goals on six shots, five of which were on cage. Kimmy Ganong tallied the other two scores for Bowdoin (13-0)  who reeled off 21 total shots with 16 on goal and Kelsey Mullaney added three assist.

Libby Kain, Mikayla Toth and Taylor Lovley all managed shots for Husson (6-8), with Lovley's on target.

Husson looks to get back to their winning ways as they return to the Winkin Sports Complex this Saturday to take on Thomas on Senior Day at 1:00pm to close out the regular season. Bowdoin resumes conference play with a noon matchup at Connecticut College on Saturday.
