Backpacks for Kids — Making the First Day Even More Special

Local Business Woman Takes Time Out to Give Back to Community
ROCKLAND, Maine - With many underprivileged children in the local school system, and a need for these children to have the school supplies necessary to participate the way other children do, one local business woman is doing what she can to make a difference. In an effort to bring smiles to kids and get them the tools they need, personal trainer Stephanie Williams has initiated a fundraising drive to provide backpacks and school supplies to local kids in need. The team at Dream Local Digital heard about Stephanie’s plan and jumped on board to help her reach her goal.

Williams, owner of Stephanie Williams Personal Training, can be seen driving to the gym before dawn, pushing her SWEAT classes next to Rockland Harbor and running in charity 5Ks. Even with her busy schedule helping others get in shape, she took notice of children in need, who do not have the proper school supplies for the upcoming school year. She set a goal and initiated a campaign to provide as many children with the necessary school supplies as she possibly can. The crew at Dream Local Digital in Rockland is helping Stephanie get the word out, as well as putting together a backpack and donating additional supplies as needed to help Stephanie reach her goal.
BackpackStephanie has asked people to purchase a backpack and fill it with school supplies to be donated to RSU13. Backpacks for Children is a great opportunity for the community to give kids in need an extra special start to the new school year.
Businesses or individuals who wish to participate are asked to choose a grade and purchase the appropriate items from this list.
Please contact Stephanie Williams at 207.542.1514, or Stephhillerpt4@hotmail.com to arrange for drop off or pick ups if necessary.

All items need to be dropped off or picked up by August 23.
