Hurricane Sandy Relief: Local Taxi Business Heads To New York

Rockland, Maine - Today and tomorrow a local taxi company will be at Maritime Energy main office to gather items to help those hard hit by Hurricane Sandy more than a week ago. Chris Merritt of Schooner Bay Taxi of Rockland will be heading south to New York to donate items to those in need.

Chris says; Schooner Bay Taxi will be sitting 2 vans at Maritime Energy 234 Park Street, Rockland, Friday November 9th and Saturday November 10th from 8am to 4pm.  We will be accepting donations to take to Hurricane Sandy victims.  On the return trip, we will be bringing 15 people back with us to stay at the Beachmere Inn in Ogunquit Maine.  The vans will be rolling out at midnight Saturday the 10th! Please help us fill these vans and help our neighbors to the south!

Items they are looking for are water, gatorade, cleaning supplies (bleach, paper towels etc...), heavy duty rubber gloves, baby wipes, baby formula, and canned foods. You can donate items for those hit hard by Hurricane Sandy by stop at Maritime Energies main office at 234 Park St. Rockland, Maine. Please donate to this great cause between 8am-4pm today and tomorrow (Saturday, November 10th).

Thank you Chris Merritt of Schooner Bay Taxi for helping those hit hard by Hurricane Sandy. Again, please donate if you can.
