8x10x100 Benefit Art Exhibition Returning to the Harlow

Hallowell, Maine - The Kennebec Valley Art Association invites the community to attend the opening reception of 8x10x100 on Friday, November 30 from 5-8pm at the Harlow Gallery at 160 Water Street in Hallowell.  8x10x100 will be on view from November 30-December 8.  It is ending on the day of Christmas in Olde Hallowell - Saturday December 8. Gallery hours are Wednesday to Saturday noon to 6pm, and special Sunday hours for this show only are noon to 4pm.

8x10x100 (formerly 8x10x80) is a unique annual art show and fundraiser benefiting programming at the non-profit Harlow Gallery.  All the works of art are 8”x10” in size and each costs just $100.  Half of the proceeds support programs at the  Harlow Gallery while the other half goes to the artist. It’s a triple win: for the artist, for the gallery and for the art collector!

This year is the 6th annual 8×10 exhibition. Participating artists range from well known professional artists and members of the KVAA to creative members of the greater community of all ages. The KVAA hopes to sell 100 works of art this year in order to raise $5,000 to support special programming and events in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Harlow Gallery.  The Harlow Gallery first opened its doors in downtown Hallowell in November 1963.

Location:  The Harlow Gallery, 160 Water Street, Hallowell, Maine 04347
